A group consisting of around 30 masked people demonstrated in central Oslo on Saturday afternoon, including outside the Storting, which caused some police intervention. According to Norwegian police, the group later refused to follow police directives, whereupon all were arrested.

The group had not applied for a demonstration permit.

– They will be fined and then expelled from the country in accordance with section 121 of the Aliens Act and must leave the country, says police prosecutor Agnes Klem to Avisa Oslo on Sunday.

The Nazis identified themselves as the Nordic Resistance Movement. All but four were foreign nationals. Most were Swedes, says journalist Harald Klungtveit, who reported on the course of events for Filter Nyheter.

– Today there are very few active members in Norway, so they are dependent on getting Swedish and Danish members here to be able to demonstrate, he tells NRK.
