The Finns of Colorado Mikko Rantanen and Artturi Lehkonen both scored against the New York Islanders. The Finns started by Evan Rodrigues the opening goal. Rantanen, who celebrated his birthday, increased the readings to 2–0 a moment later from a drive through.
