The Uppsala Grand prix was awarded this year to the German-Japanese film “Oh, Butterfly” directed by Sylvia Schedelbauer.
Uppsala municipality’s film prize in memory of Ingmar Bergman went this year to the Filipino film “The headhunters daughter” by Don Josephus Raphael Eblahan.
For all the categories mentioned above, the prize sum was SEK 50,000.
Best children’s film was won by “Historien om Bodri” – an animation of Holocaust survivor Hédi Fried’s book of the same name, made by Stina Wirsén – who also illustrated the book. “The Story of Bodri” is about Hédi Fried’s own experiences of the Holocaust, about his childhood and his beloved dog Bodri.
The prize sum for this category was SEK 10,000.
The audience prize went this year to the Dutch “Neighbor Abi” directed by Douwe Dijkstra.
