In Ukraine, the fighting continues even if information on the advance of Ukrainian troops is becoming increasingly rare. The Russian strikes do not stop either, but not enough to demoralize the Ukrainians as President Volodymyr Zelensky again affirmed in a video broadcast overnight from Thursday to Friday.
The staging is unusual on the part of Volodymyr Zelensky. In this video posted last night, the Ukrainian president, who usually sits at his desk, is outside in front of the wreckage of a drone, taking stock of the last two days in which the Ukrainian defense is managed to counter a number of Russian attacks.
” The 246th day is coming to an end. We continue our resistance. The aggressor continues his terror. We are again attacked from the sky by a flock of their crows. More than 30 drones were launched in two days. The defenders of our sky prevented the vultures of the enemy from penetrating to the rear of the country and felled 23 Shaheds (Iranian-made drones, note). In total, during this period, Russia carried out 4,500 missile strikes and more than 8,000 air raids. But we fight, we’ll take down more said the Ukrainian president.

Volodymyr Zelensky takes this opportunity to thank his compatriots who fight without mercy, as well as all the people who participated in fundraising and who facilitated the purchase of equipment that allows the destruction of drones. After weeks of terror, even in kyiv in recent days, Ukrainian forces seem able to counter Russian attacks, even if civilians are dying every day as a result of bombardments which also cause great material damage.
In the Donetsk oblast, the positions have not changed much and in the south and more specifically in the region of Khersonthe Ukrainian soldiers are slowly advancing towards this regional capital where, according to the Russian authorities, 70,000 inhabitants have been evacuated, which portends fierce fighting in the days or weeks to come.
