The message: Iran’s ambassador is not invited to the Nobel party

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

During the week, the Nobel Foundation received massive criticism for having decided to port Russia’s and Belarus’s ambassadors from the Nobel Festival, but not Iran’s.

Now the Nobel Foundation has changed its foot on the matter and announces that Iran’s ambassador will not receive an invitation either, reports The Express.

In an email to the newspaper, the Nobel Foundation writes that the starting point is to invite all states with diplomatic representation in Sweden to the Nobel Prize ceremony.

“This year, however, the Nobel Foundation has decided to follow the Swedish and European diplomatic line of not inviting Russia and Belarus due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Despite the fact that Sweden and other European countries do not yet have a corresponding diplomatic line regarding Iran, the issue is under development and we judge, given the serious and escalating situation, that Iran’s ambassador should not be invited,” writes the Nobel Foundation further, according to the newspaper.
