At least five people were attacked by a knife-wielding man in a shopping center in Milan shortly after 6pm on Thursday, Italian media reported.
One person has died from their injuries, while two out of four are said to have serious injuries.
The perpetrator, in his 50s, was arrested at the scene. The man seemingly chose his victims at random. According to La Repubblica, he took a knife from a shop and attacked with it.
According to the news channel Rai, one of the injured is the Spanish soccer star Pablo Marí, who is on loan from Arsenal to Italian AC Monza.
