In Nyfors in Eskilstuna, the emergency services are frequently called about fires in apartment buildings. By making home visits to residents in the area, the rescue service hopes that knowledge of fire safety will increase.
Why do you choose to focus specifically on apartment buildings?
– We see that there are many fire incidents in apartment buildings. There can be very big consequences of a fire, because many people live there, says education coordinator Sara Fröbohm.
Since 2017, the emergency services in Eskilstuna have carried out home visits to residents in apartments, but during the pandemic the work was paused. Now they are at it again.
