Formalized last week after being the subject of many rumors, the remake of Silent Hill 2 should soon be entitled to a release date. This is indeed what Piotr Babeno recently indicated (in remarks reported by Gram.pl), the boss of Bloober Team (The Medium, Blair Witch), on the occasion of the GPW Innnovation Day organized in Poland. After recalling that the design of the game began in 2019, he clarified that it had entered its final phase and that the developers were tweaking a number of elements. Suddenly, even if the Polish studio does not have control over the announcement of the release date, Piotr Babeno thinks that Konami should communicate on the subject soon.
Among the other confidences made by the man, the development of the title is entirely financed by Konami, and additional funds have been released so that the key stages to come take place without the slightest hitch. In short, everything seems to be in order. For the record, the remake of Silent Hill 2 is expected on PS5 (as part of a temporary exclusivity) and PC. Konami has also planned other projects revolved around its horror series such as Silent Hill: Townfall, Silent Hill: Ascension, Silent Hill f, and even the film Return to Silent Hill whose director is none other than Christophe Gans .
