Rishi Sunak, who went down in the history of the country with his Indian origin and astonishing with his wealth, made his first speech to the nation as the new Prime Minister of the country, in front of the Prime Minister’s Residence Number 10, after he took over the task of forming the government from the King of England, Charles III.
“I HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO FIX ERRORS”
Stating that the UK is currently facing a deep economic crisis and the balance sheet of the Kovid-19 epidemic still continues, Sunak noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine has destabilized energy markets and supply chains around the world.
Sunak stated that her predecessor Liz Truss, to whom she thanked, aimed to grow in the economy and that this was a noble goal, but also underlined that some mistakes were made that were not malicious.
Emphasizing that he was elected the new leader of his party and the new Prime Minister of the country in order to correct these mistakes, Sunak continued as follows:
“I will put economic stability and confidence at the center of this government’s agenda. This will mean tough decisions to make. But you’ve seen me doing everything I can to protect people and businesses during Covid-19 (where he served as Finance Minister) with more plans.”
“I WILL UNITE THE COUNTRY WITH ACTION, NOT WORDS”
Sunak said, “I will unite the country with action, not words. I will work day and night to do this.” said.
Rishi Sunak also expressed that he will always be grateful to former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his incredible achievements.

RISHI SUNAK IS THE LEADER OF THE CONservatory PARTY AND THE NEW PRIME MINISTER OF THE COUNTRY
After Truss, who frequently made the promise of “tax cuts” during the election campaign, took over as prime minister, the government announced on September 23 that it was preparing to implement a tax cut of 45 billion pounds in total.
This situation increased the expectations that the country’s foreign borrowing would increase and caused the sterling to experience a sharp depreciation.
After harsh criticism of the economic plans, the British government abandoned its plan to abolish the top income tax rate of 45 percent.
Truss, who had been behind the tax cut plan many times before, could not stand the public pressure and dismissed Kwasi Kwarteng as Minister of Finance on 14 October and replaced him with Jeremy Hunt.
Despite apologizing for “mistakes” that caused significant market volatility, British public debate had already begun over how long Truss would remain in office.
Prime Minister Truss announced his resignation on October 20, following the political and economic turmoil in Britain.
Former Finance Minister Sunak, who struggled to replace Truss, stated that his rival Penny Mordount supported him, and after he withdrew from the leadership race yesterday, he became the new leader of the party and also the new prime minister of the country as the only candidate. (AA)
