The afternoon after the riots it is quiet on Het Rond. The fair is still closed, the shutters of the shooting gallery and oliebollen stand are closed. There are some shoppers and young people who are bored during the autumn holidays. Sven Pothoven from Houten was not at the fair, but did receive the whole story: “That young people smashed windows, destroyed planters and threw heavy fireworks. But that was going on all week, actually since the fair started. I think it’s good that they did something about it this time, because usually nothing happens.”
