Renault’s path in electric car developments does not have much difficulty in winning our hearts like many others. Bringing its badges such as Megane and Scenic together with new body types in the transformation process, the most striking steps of the French manufacturer, in our opinion, will be to bring its classic vehicles to the present day. These steps, which showed themselves with the R5 in the first stage, will be included in the “4” in the coming period. In such a transformation, a question mark has arisen for the models already on sale in the compact segment. Contrary to the messages given by the brand’s Design Chief Gilles Vidal in the past, it seems that the end of the road is in sight for Renault Zoe.

Important statements for Zoe, which has been on sale since 2012 and achieved significant sales success in the process, came from its senior manager, Fabrice Cambolive. In the upcoming period, we will continue with Clio and Captur. These models will be equipped with hybrid technology. In the past, we have stated that we aim for a more profitability-oriented product range. For this reason, we focus more on the C segment. Megane E-Tech Electric and later Scenic are important in the new era. Our more compact segment steps will follow soon after.” He stated that the product range in the compact segment will consist of a range including 4 and 5. With the removal of Zoe from Renault’s product range, the new sub-segment family will be shaped as Clio, Captur, 4 and 5 as of 2025. The farewell date for Zoe has not been announced yet. Zoe was also recorded as the best-selling electric passenger car in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
