Even before this episode is located Lance in a hopeless position. After forcibly taking over the communities of Alexandria, Hilltop, and Oceanside and starting an open war against their residents, Lance was locked in a cell by his boss, Pamela Milton (Laila Robins). – along with her zombified son Sebastian.

But the collaboration is short-lived. When they have received all the necessary information, they want to get rid of Lance. Because although both parties have the same vision of a secure and better future, their approaches to achieve this goal are too contrary. But Daryl and Carol are fair and give him a chance to run away.
However, instead of fleeing, Lance grabs a gun. A bad decision. Because in a matter of seconds it is now plugged in arrow in his throat fired personally by Carol. On the spot, the Commonwealth string puller bleeds to death, gasping.

Lance Hornsby’s death won’t come as a huge surprise to some fans. Because: This was already six months ago accidentally spoiled by a crew member of the series. Namely, a hairstylist who has been part of The Walking Dead’s creative team since the beginning (12 years).
The spoiler photo was spotted by some fans on Instagram a few weeks after The Walking Dead ended filming. It stars actors Laila Robins and Josh Hamilton, both of whom are part of the main cast of Season 11. So the behind-the-scenes photo of Biter-Lance suggested long before the final episodes aired that he died in them. But would anyone really have believed that the psychotic creep who leaves people’s fate to the toss of a coin would survive The Walking Dead?
But the zombie picture reveals even more: We will see Lance Hornsby again, because he hasn’t turned into a walker at the end of episode 20. It is not yet known whether other main characters will die in addition to Lance in the four final episodes – but leaks from the shooting have already confirmed the survival of some characters.
