Your Zimbra email inbox at Free is full? No problem ! You can very easily increase its capacity from 1 to 10 GB. And for free, of course!
If you use an email address at Free, you may have noticed that the capacity of this email service is particularly limited, with only 1 GB to store everything (messages received and sent, with attachments). In fact, if this gigabyte could suffice a few years ago, this is no longer the case today, with the proliferation of messages – desired or not – and newsletters that accumulate over time. And it’s no coincidence that most other email services (Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Outlook.com and others) offer much more.
Fortunately, it is possible to increase the capacity of Zimbra – Free’s webmail – from 1 GB to 10 GB. The operation is easy and free – like messaging – and you can do it on all your Free email accounts.
- To change Zimbra’s storage capacity, open your usual web browser and go to the Free portal.
- Click on Subscriber spaceat the top right of the home page.
- In the new page that appears, enter your email address – not your Free ID! – and the password associated with your email, then click on Login.
- On the next page, titled Management interface: email, Webclick the option Change Zimbra’s capacity to 10 GBin the left column.
- A page appears indicating that the migration operation is in progress and that you must wait 48 hours. It’s over !
