During the weekend, six teams from all over Sweden have come to Norrköping to compete for the Swedish Champion title in 2022. The Norrköping Roller Derby team, did not make it to the final but they competed for bronze.
– It feels fantastic to play the bronze medal match at home, it’s super big, says Ellen Harryzon.
WC 2019
The last SM was played in 2019 – then Crime City Rollers from Malmö won, who are also competing in the final this year.
Ellen Harryzon is one of those who have worked to make it possible for roller derby to take place in Norrköping.
– It’s a big event, we’ve been planning for months. We need referees, players and photographers, so it has required a lot of work, she says.
