Rasmus Dahlin continues to write NHL history.
Last night he scored a goal in the fifth game in a row, something no other NHL defenseman has managed.
Talk about separate worlds. The Vancouver Canucks, led by Elias Pettersson, are in an abysmal slump and are still the only team in the NHL without a win.
Last night they were humiliated by the Buffalo Sabres, who have many years of weak seasons behind them.
But now life is playing for the Sabres. And above all for the Swedish defender Rasmus Dahlin.
The 22-year-old already made history in the last match. That’s when he scored for the fourth game in a row, since the start of the season. Something no other NHL defender has done before. And last night he extended the suite.
This is what goal number 5 looked like:
Dahlin also assisted on Victor Olofsson’s 5-1 goal in the win against the Canucks.
Elias Pettersson’s team is now the NHL’s big crisis team, with six straight losses during the season opener.
