Mateschitz founded Red Bull in 1984 and was one of the driving forces when the energy drink company ventured into the world of motorsports in the mid-1990s.
In 2004, the company bought Jaguar Racing and created Red Bull Racing, which has become one of the big stables in Formula 1, and over the years has also bought and renamed several football clubs.
