The groups for the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand were drawn in Auckland. The United States and the Netherlands, who played in the final match of the previous games, will meet in Group E.

The World Cup will be played next summer in Australia and New Zealand. The first eight groups of the Women’s World Cup were drawn in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday morning Finnish time.

The competitions will be organized for the first time with 32 teams. In the last games in 2019 in France, 24 teams participated.

Not all the competition teams have been decided yet. The next qualifiers for the World Championships will be played in February and they will decide the last three teams going to the Games.

The most interesting draw of the draw was in Group E, when the United States and the Netherlands ended up in the same starting group. The teams played in the final of the last World Cup in 2019. At that time, the United States won the World Cup gold with a score of 2–0.

The reigning European champion, England, who won their home match in the summer, ended up in the same group as Denmark and China.

The World Cup will start next year on July 20 with the opening match between New Zealand and Norway in Auckland, lasting a month. The final will be played on August 20, 2023 in Sydney, Australia. Australia and New Zealand are organizing the soccer World Cup for the first time.
