On Friday evening, Swedish star Mikael Ymer withdrew from the Stockholm Open. He was pitted against Greek world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas – and lost a match that lasted just under two hours.
The numbers were 5-7, 3-6. Ymer had several chances to break Tsitsipa’s serve in the first set, but failed.
In the second set, the class difference between the players became clear.
– It could just as easily have been Mikael who won this match, says SVT Sports expert Magnus Gustafsson.
All Swedes are now eliminated.
