Swedish meat now seems to be on the decline for the first time in Länge. During the first half of the year, imported meat increased in all categories.
Imports of edible poultry increased the most, by 16 percent – at the same time as total meat consumption in Sweden only increased by just over 2 percent.
Pandemic, war and increased inflation seem to be behind the change. And the industry is now worried about what this means for Swedish food production.
