At Thorhildskolan in Kungälv, 14 cases of abusive treatment have been reported since the start of the autumn semester, which Kungälvsposten was the first to report on.
The high school students use violence, verbal attacks, threats – and several boys have had their hair shaved off. The local newspaper describes much of what happened for a “power play”
According to Catharina Bengtsson, head of operations for the junior high schools in Kungälv, the many reported cases of abuse can be interpreted as something positive.
– I make the assessment that this is a significantly safer school than it was a few years ago, she says.
During school hours, students have been locked in the toilet, pushed, hit, had things thrown at them and called derogatory things. Often a student has been victimized by a group of several students.
