The French men’s tennis team was eliminated from the Davis Cup in the group stage and will not play in the quarter-finals of the competition, as in 2021. After two consecutive defeats in its first two matches, against Germany (2-1) on September 14 then Australia (2-1) on September 15, the fate of French tennis players was no longer in their hands. Germany’s victory against Belgium (2-1) on September 16 put an end to the meager hopes of the French, guaranteed to be eliminated even before playing their last match against Belgium.
