Russia claims it is attacking several Ukrainian cities.
“The threat of air and robot attacks exists throughout Ukraine,” Ukraine’s military writes on Facebook.
Russia claims it is attacking Ukrainian forces in Kherson, Kharkiv and Donetsk, Reuters reports, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
On Facebook Ukraine’s military confirms that Russia has carried out a series of attacks along the front line in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
“The threat from air and robot attacks exists throughout Ukraine,” the military writes.
Russia also accuses Ukraine of carrying out artillery strikes against the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
A spokesperson for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denies that the attack took place.
Earlier in September, Ukraine launched a major counter-offensive against Russia in the Kharkiv region. In connection with this, the Russian military is said to have withdrawn, at the same time that Ukraine took back several cities.
Russia has also admitted defeat.
