In Destiny 2, Xur is a regular visitor to know about. Because only he sells exotics for everyone who still has gaps in their collection or is hoping for better values. Today the mysterious trader is reopening his hidden trade and we’ll tell you where to find him.
Before we get to Xur, as always, there’s our Destiny 2 week recap. This week not only saw a lot of discussion in the community, but also a nerf that was mostly well received and a special emblem reminder for all players.
What happened in Destiny 2 this week? Last week, alongside three-time Worlds First winner Saltagreppo, another veteran Destiny player shared his thoughts on the Divinity’s nerf proposal.
The veteran Datto emphasized that he is aware that many Destiny 2 players are not sweaters or talents who master raids in an hour. Nevertheless, he also agreed to Saltagreppo’s proposal – he just didn’t feel like discussing it until now.
According to him, many guardians “can’t see the forest for the trees” and therefore don’t understand the problems that this rifle creates, according to the streamer.
In the end, the entire discussion once again made it clear how hardened the fronts are between content creators and normal players. But the statements of the supposed elite players from Destiny 2 that the “casuals” only want to keep everything that makes the game easier for them is probably not true either. This was shown by the many reactions to the nerf of the Titan Exos “Lorelei Prunkhelm”.
A very special emblem: Last but not least, Bungie honored a German community hero in the weekly TWaB blog (“This Week at Bungie”) on Thursday.
He had already died in January 2022. To make sure his light isn’t forgotten, players now get a free, unique emblem that he would have been proud of himself.

When is Xur coming? The exotic retailer pays a visit to Destiny 2 every Friday at 7 p.m. Anyone who still has gaps in their Exo collection then expects it, as it is the easiest way to get Exos. It only costs you a one-way flight and some material as a means of payment.
Where is Xur located? This is his camp for the weekend
The position of Xur: Xur can be found in a different location each week. So you never know exactly where you’ll find him.
Xur’s inventory from 16.09. – 20.09. – All exotics at a glance
What does Xur offer? As the chosen exotic merchant of the “Nine”, an ominous group in Destiny 2, Xur ships new weapons and armor to players on their behalf on a weekly basis. All characters, i.e. warlocks, hunters and titans can buy from him. Whether you are new to the game or an experienced Guardian. His wares are guaranteed to be better than what Spider has to offer.
This week he sells you the following goods:
Our purchase recommendation: For legendary items, check out the Interference V grenade launcher.
Xur also sells Legendary items and each week offers unique rolls for exotics from past DLC exotic missions that are no longer available. Note, however: You can only buy the weapons if you also have the appropriate extension.
He currently has these two weapons on offer:
The weapons cost: These two Exotics cost 1 Ascendant Fragment, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Fragments respectively.
Xur always has this with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to get an Exotic Code.
Finally trials again!
Tonight the long dry spell of PvP hardcore players ends. The Trials of Osiris is back, once again offering a stage for the toughest Guardian vs. Guardian battles in Destiny 2.
But be warned: Bungie keeps an eye on any players looking to cheat in PvP activities or indirectly by boosting or creating new “Burner” accounts and including them in endgame content such as Trials.
Thus, according to Bungie, detection systems have been integrated and activated, which also indicate the presence of certain cheats on the user’s computer. More “detection measures” are expected to follow later this year.
Which map is it this week? The so-called PvP trials always take place on a fixed map.
If you are interested in playing the trials in a permanent team, MeinMMO recommends the callout maps via Warmind. This gives your fireteam a good description of where the opponents are on the map, which is useful information for the whole team.
How to get your loot: The Trials of Osiris feature a reputation ranking system. Your top loot reward from PvP matches is currently for:
This is the reward for a flawless run: Every week, a very special weapon awaits you on the lighthouse, which you get as a master version for your flawless run, i.e. 7 victories. You can earn the weapon until next Tuesday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m.
However, if you don’t like it, you can also get hold of these black and gold treasures:
All Trials weapons have a Trials origin perk: Haste – Improves reload, stability, aim assist, and range when you’re the last member of your fireteam alive or fighting alone.
You can focus your testing engrams on your desired weapon at the 14th saint. On top there are Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Fragments. Keep in mind that once you have a complete pass, your reward increases even more – even if you lose a game or two.
When do the trials officially start? The Trials of Osiris begins today, September 16 at 7:00 p.m. and ends with the Weekly Reset, September 20 at 7:00 p.m.
Can’t wait for Trials to start again? Or have you sworn off the trials? Feel free to let the Destiny community know what you think of it in the comments.
If you like playing control, you should also note the following: From September 17th, the already announced “quit protection” will be active again, “probably the worst change in a long time”.
