Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi group, which has made important announcements for the future of electricity, relies mostly on new infrastructures within the scope of planning. A name that will host the new platform, which is at a much more successful level in terms of both cost and technical capability compared to the electric models on sale so far, will inherit the legacy of Nissan Micra. Announced for the first time as part of the meeting, this new model will share the same platform with Renault’s “5”, which it will bring back to life by staying true to its classic genes.

The model, which will take its place on the streets as part of the 23 billion euro investment, will be built on the CMF-BEV platform. In this model, in which the year 2024 is pointed out, information that the range value of around 400 kilometers can be achieved as the return of the platform is also on the table. This range value, which will exceed daily needs, is expected to keep the hand of the vehicle that will replace Micra strong. Brand manager Ashwani Gupta also stated that this new model will be designed by Nissan, while Renault will be responsible for the production and engineering processes. Aiming to achieve 33 percent less cost over infrastructure in the production of vehicles, Nissan also shared 10 percent in electricity consumption efficiency. Announcing that it will launch a total of 35 electric models by 2030, the tripartite partnership will benefit from five different infrastructures, including for commercial vehicles, in these models.
