220 students at a school in Kiruna are allowed to stay at home. The reason is a lack of teachers.
The teachers’ union in Kiruna requests a protective stop at the New Rocket School in the city, NSD writes. The stop comes into effect from September 16, reports P4 Norrbotten.
According to the Teachers’ Union, the school’s middle school is understaffed, which has led to too great a workload for the staff. According to the school’s principal, five teachers need to be recruited, which is difficult due to the housing shortage.
