The bright colors on the wall and the cheerful ping-pong prints form a great contrast with the blackened interior of last summer. “Everything was black and wet when I arrived at the Ping Pong Club that night. I really had my hands in the hair, because I had never experienced anything like this”, says owner Jan Joost Verbij. It was not certain at first whether the damage could be repaired. ”That first week there was so much unclear, initially the bar should also go. If it had, we would have stopped.”
