The case took place in 2020. In the night of Saturday 13 to Sunday 14 June, the victim – 22 years old at the time – drove through the Kanaalstraat with two friends, looking for a place to eat. They got into a conflict with the driver of another car that was blocking the road. When the victim got out, an argument ensued that more and more people got involved.
