(Finance) – As of 1 July 2022 the innovative Italian startups registered in the Business Register were 14,621, 3.7% of all corporations recently established, a fact up by 1.8% compared to the previous quarter, with 259 new units. The innovative startups founded by under 35swith a + 0.5%for a total of 17.4%.

This is what emerges from the quarterly report produced by Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with Unioncamere, InfoCamere and Mediocredito Centraleaccording to which the activities with the greatest incidence are confirmed the production of software, IT consultancy, research and development, manufacture of machinery and electronic products.

Regarding the territorial distribution, the Lombardy the first region in which he resides is confirmed over 26.7% of all Italian startupsfollowed by Lazio with 12.1% of the national total (+45 startups compared to the previous quarter) and Campania with 9.2% (+33 startups compared to the previous quarter).

At the level of provincesamong the top ten are: Milan (2737 startups), Rome (1599), Naples (675), Turin (532), Bari (362), Bologna (358), Padua (331), Salerno (302), Bergamo (291) and Brescia (286). On the other hand, if we consider the number of innovative startups in relation to the number of new joint-stock companies, we find among the top ten provinces: Trento, Milan, Terni, Potenza, Udine, Pordenone, Pisa, Trieste, Bologna and Ascoli Piceno.

The data presented by the quarterly report of Guarantee Fund for SMEs confirm the funding growth trend granted: they are 6,798 beneficiary innovative startups of the Fund and some of them have received more than one loan.

In the second quarter of 2022, the Fund managed 666 operations towards innovative startups, with a growth of 7% compared to the previous quarter, and the total of the potentially mobilized loans is around 193 million eurosan increase of 44% compared to the period January-March 2022. In the second quarter, moreover, the average funding amounts to 289 thousand eurosup 34% compared to the previous quarter.
