The 91st İzmir International Fair, which invests in informatics and entrepreneurship and organizes many events in this context; Hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, İZFAŞ and Riot Games Turkey hosted one of Turkey’s biggest events in esports. Turkey Grand Final 2022, where the best LoL team of the year was determined, was held at the Atatürk Open Air Theatre. While the Turkish Grand Final met with fans in a city other than Istanbul for the first time, a special LoL 10th Anniversary Festival was also held on September 9 and 10. In addition to many activities organized in the festival area, community meetings were also held.
LoL fans showed great interest in both the festival and the Turkish Grand Final 2022. In the final, where the revenue from ticket sales was donated to be used in OYGEM Academy training and development processes, the tickets were sold out days ago. In the Grand Final of Turkey, which met with the audience for the first time after the pandemic, Atatürk Open Air Theater was completely filled, the audience created colorful images and both experienced the excitement of the final and supported their teams uninterruptedly. The final was also shown on the giant screens set up in the festival area.
At the opening of the Turkish Grand Final, popular singer and social media phenomenon Reynmen took the stage and sang his songs. While the final matches were the scene of great excitement, the winner was announced at the end of the 5th match. Fenerbahce Espor, which eliminated NASR ESPORTS in the semi-finals, faced DenizBank Istanbul Wildcats, which eliminated Papara SuperMassive Blaze in the semi-finals.
