Last minute: Denmark took new decisions regarding coronavirus. According to the decision, Kovid-19 is removed from the critical illness category. The decision, which made a sound all over the world, will be implemented as of February 1 and all restrictions will be lifted.
PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCED
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that while removing Kovid-19 from the category of socially critical illness, they decided to lift all restrictions as of February 1 and received full support from other parties in the parliament.
Noting that the vaccination passport application will continue only in the entrances to Denmark from abroad, Frederiksen said, “We have decided to remove all restrictions as of February 1. At the end of January, at the beginning of February, the number of people infected with Kovid-19 will peak, and then there will be decreases.
4. DOSE WILL ALSO BE APPLIED
Stating that even if the restrictions are in the past and daily life returns, the authorities will follow the Kovid-19 data, Frederiksen stated that the 4th dose of the Kovid-19 vaccine will also be applied.
On September 10, 2021, it was announced in Denmark that the coronavirus epidemic was completely under control and therefore all measures were lifted. Later, as the cases got out of control, restrictions were applied again from November 15, 2021.
Danish State Serum Institute Chief Epidemiologist Tyra Krause, in a statement on January 3, emphasized that the Omicron variant brought the end of the Kovid-19 epidemic and that people will return to their normal lives within 2 months.
According to the figures announced by the National Health Agency, the number of people who lost their lives due to Kovid-19 in Denmark increased to 3 thousand 635. The number of cases in the country rose to 1 million 484 thousand 771.
