The heavy-handed politicians are so far conspicuous by their absence, but on stage the election campaign continues right to the end. Volunteers, SSU members and staff call around to voters who may not yet have decided who they want to vote for.

“It’s important, a lot of things are at stake, so you have to be nervous, otherwise you haven’t taken it seriously,” she tells TT.

Last election, the Social Democrats reached 28.3 percent in the parliamentary election. In several polls ahead of Sunday’s election, the party has gained something over it, while the trend has been downward in recent weeks.

The position between the blocks is very even. It only differs by a few percentage points in most measurements but with a slight advantage for the left side.

“Now it’s about the Swedish people having their say, then we have to take responsibility for the election results,” said S leader Magdalena Andersson when she voted in Nacka earlier in the day.
