The series “The sound of water” proposes to evoke a millennial noise in the footsteps of four sound hunters. Monica Fantini and her three guest artists, Stéphane Marin, Azadeh Nilchiani and Christophe Rosenberg, draw up a first subjective and non-exhaustive inventory of the aquatic sounds that accompany everyday life, in Paris and elsewhere, from the Garonne to the underground city of Nushabad in Iran in passing through Reunion.

The throbbing movement of the waves on the sand, the rain hitting the panes or the drops on an umbrella, the cracking of the pack ice, the gushing of the fountains, the crash of the locks, the lapping of a stream, the undertow of the sea …: water cradles, protects and sometimes engulfs, punctuating life and nourishing our mythologies. This series aims to evoke the sound of water, immutable and millennial, eternal renewal that irrigates everyone’s imagination.
