Since Barbro Westerholm became a Member of Parliament for what was then the People’s Party, now the Liberals 27 years ago, a lot has happened in cross-political work, she says.
– In the 90s, my everyday life was characterized by close collaboration with women in other parties. When I came back in 2006, there was a gap between the opposition and the government. That collaboration had disappeared.
The Sweden Democrats’ Tobias Andersson, who in this year’s election campaign attracted attention for a tweet in connection with the party’s subway campaign, received the vote of confidence in 2018. At 26, he is the youngest member of the Riksdag.
– There are those who have sat longer than they should. I came in with energy and didn’t think my age was a hindrance.
