On September 10th, Pokemon GO will have the Piepi event in the moonlight. We’ll show you what’s happening there.
What is this event? A few weeks ago, Niantic announced the Piepi event. This is a relatively small event that is only active for a few hours in the evening.
What happens there? Wild Piepi appear more frequently during the event. You have the chance to find and catch shiny Piepi. However, the chances of getting the shiny forms are not increased during the event.
Start Time, Shiny – What Happens After?
When is this running? The Piepi event runs on September 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.
What do the shiny look like? Although there is no official announcement from Niantic that the chances of shinys are increased, trainers hope that this bonus will simply not be mentioned. If you are looking for a dazzling variant, you can get an idea of it from the following graphic.
What is special about the event? Already at the announcement, players noticed that the bonuses of the event are very small. At first glance, Piepi should only spawn in the wild.
Nevertheless, trainers (via reddit) are happy about the event, because it does something different than the previously known short events: the time window.
The time from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. suits some coaches better because they have less to do in the evening hours. Other events that are only active for a few hours run earlier in the day. Just like the Community Day in September, which is active from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
