In 2002, a modest weekly column appeared on RFI as part of the program Plein Sud. This brief evocation of Afro-planetary musical culture, entitled L’épopée des musiques noirs, will very quickly become a hectic radio rendezvous. Thanks to our preciously preserved archives, this week we are going to take a leap of 20 years in the past and relive the first echoes of L’épopée, already produced by Nathalie Laporte, and then presented by Joe Farmer and the late Amobé Mévégué to whom we will not fail to pay tribute one year after his death.
