Now it seems that the cooling of the housing market has also reached Jönköping County. As recently as a month ago, the prices of condominiums were still rising here – contrary to the decrease in the country as a whole.
But the latest figures for price developments now show a decline of 6.1% seen over three months. Although there are fewer cases than the country as a whole, it is a clear break in the trend.
Big variations
However, the variations within the county are large, depending on relatively few sales in many places. In Habo, prices have continued to rise, while Nässjö is dropping sharply. In Jönköping, where by far the most condominiums are sold, the decline is 8%.
House prices have also fallen, but there the decline is more moderate – just over 3% in three months.
Due to the uncertainty, the number of housing sales has decreased in the country during the summer, but the Mäklarsamfundet generally sees little of a slowdown in the price drop in recent weeks.
