Maarssen – A 19-year-old man who stabbed someone in early August during a massive fight in Maarssen, does not have to go back to prison. The court sentenced the Maarssenaar today to a community service of 100 hours. In addition, he will be given 245 days of juvenile detention, of which 140 days will be conditional. Because he has been in pre-trial detention for more than three months, he does not have to go back to prison. According to the court, the man is guilty of attempted manslaughter on a 27-year-old Nieuwegeiner, but the judges think it is important that he has and keeps his life on track.
