Shortly after the referee blew for full time between AIK and Hammarby (2–2), violence broke out in the stands.

Eleven people have now been arrested. They are suspected of involvement in a violent riot at the Friends arena. The police write on their website that they have reviewed extensive footage from the arena’s surveillance cameras, from production companies and the police’s own cameras.

“It sends important signals that so many people have been suspected in this first round of questioning. This is an investigation that will grow and more people who participated in the violent riots are identified,” says local police area manager in Solna, Caroline Westlund, to police website.

All eleven people who have been arrested have been banned from entering all stadiums in Sweden. How long the bans apply varies between the different individuals.
