Housemarque gives hope for Returnal PC release during GDC 2022

As you know, Sony has been bringing a lot of PlayStation exclusive games to the PC platform lately. As such, the number of players who want to play a challenging game like Returnal with keyboard & mouse is quite high. For a long time, a production called Returnal, which was entered with the code name “Oregon” and constantly updated, was circulating on Steam for a long time. During a presentation by Housermarque at GDC 2022, we can say that the hopes were increased when the game was shown when running from a PC.

In a presentation titled “Can We Do It with practice? VFX Learnings from Returnal”, which covers technical issues, Digital Foundry’s Alexander Battaliga clearly states that the game runs on the PC platform. As a matter of fact, even if it is a PlayStation special game, it is very normal to carry out technical operations such as debugging of productions developed on PC on this platform. But when we look back, this appears to be one of the hints of the Returnal PC version.

After Sony bought the developer studio in May last year, people’s hopes for a PC version of the game were also strengthened. Because Sony has recently brought games developed by first-party studios to the PC platform, and according to the boss, dozens more PS exclusive games will appear on their new platforms.
