Which includes Swedish NHL promise Nils Lundkvist and return to Sweden.
For an SHL club to have contacted the New York Rangers, according to SportExpress’s Mr. Madhawk.
The big question is where Nils Lundkvist will play next. The 22-year-old has made himself impossible for the New York Rangers by refusing to appear at the NHL team’s pre-season camp.
New NHL team
Rangers are working hard to find a deal where the great Swedish talent is exchanged for another player of equal value. During Tuesday, the American newspaper New York Post singled out classic Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens as potential club addresses for Lundkvist.
The Swedish full-back hit big with Luleå and after a fine SHL season he was selected for Tre Kronor’s WC squad. He then moved to North America before last season and got the chance directly in the NHL.
SHL interest
There were a total of 25 games in the world’s best hockey league during the debut season, but now a move from the NY Rangers awaits. There is much evidence that he will stay in North America, but today there is also a sensational rumor about a Swedish return.
