(Finance) – Presented today in Venice by Calabria Film Commission Foundation the new 2022 call for support for national and international audiovisual productions that will use the scenic beauty of Calabria as a location for their filming.
This powerful new intervention, extended to a good five million euros, is the most important allocation since the regional institution that deals with promoting audiovisual in Calabria was activated.
The presentation, which took place in the Italian Pavilion of the Hotel Excelsior, was attended by the Extraordinary Commissioner Anton Giulio Grande, the Director of the Luciano Vigna Foundation and Cristina Priarone, President of the Italian Film Commissions.
The Call presents different lines of intervention both for films / feature films and fiction, as well as for documentaries and short films. In particular, two different allocations are envisaged for the film / feature film and fiction category: 500 thousand euros and 250 thousand euros. For the documentary the maximum grant that can be granted is 50 thousand euros, for the short film 25 thousand euros. The notice will expire at 12.00 on the 30th day from the publication of the notice on the institutional website of the Calabria Film Commission Foundation at www.calabriafilmcommission.it/bandi-avvisi/avviso-pubblico-produzioni-2022, where it will be possible to find all useful information to be able to participate in the 2022 Call.
Among the evaluation criteria, the novelty of the “enhancement of regional identity in its contemporary dimension, through narratives, places and scenarios capable of conveying the current image of the region ”.
