Germany, industry orders drop more than expected

US stocks and wholesale sales in July below estimates

(Finance) – Orders to industry in Germany continue to decline. According to the National Bureau of Statistics Destatis, there was a decline in orders in July 1.1% on a monthly basiswhile the consensus it was for one 0.5% drop after -0.3% the previous month (revised from -0.4%).

Compared to the same month of the previous year the orders result in 13.6% drop against the previous -9%.

In detail, the domestic orders fell by 4.5% compared to the previous month and those ofEuro area 6.4%, while those you give third countries they recorded a growth of 6.5%. Overall orders from abroad thus recorded a + 1.3%.
