Theres never been anything like this in the action series

In James Bond 007: No Time To Die, Daniel Craig said goodbye to the 007 role with a bang. In the finale of the film he sacrifices himself and leaves behind his great love Madeleine Swann and their daughter Mathilde.

In a new interview, Madeleine actress Léa Seydoux has now spoken about that her character might return in the future. That would be a revolutionary step for the next James Bond film without Daniel Craig.

I’m done with James Bond: No Time To Die is a disappointment! | Review

Lea Seydoux’s James Bond return would be extremely exciting

At the upcoming Telluride Film Festival, the Bond actress spoke to Deadline about her future in the series. Seydoux probably doesn’t have any concrete information about the next 007 film yet, but she does tease carefully though a possible return of Madeleine Swann:

After all, I’m not dead. It was James who died, not Madeleine. So who knows? Maybe I’ll come back. That sounds like fake news, right? But if we’re being honest, at the very end Madeleine drives away with her daughter because James saved her. There will be a new Bond because Daniel’s Bond died but who says madeleine won’t come back?

In the James Bond series, the return of Madeleine Swann would be practically revolutionary. Even if Daniel Craig’s version of the iconic secret agent is history and a new star takes over, the events of his era be taken up by the comeback of Seydoux.

Although stars like Judi Dench as M played their roles in different Bond eras, there were no substantive references to each other. A return of Madeleine Swann as the love of Craig’s 007 and mother of their daughter would bring the franchise the lead despite a major recast still a common thread to lend.

At the moment we will have to be patient until it even happens first information about the 26th James Bond film are. Producer Barbara Broccoli recently spoke of a complete reinvention of the action series, which takes time.

*. . .

Would you be happy to see Madeleine Swann return in the next Bond film without Daniel Craig?
