One person has been arrested after an incident at a residence in Tillsonburg on Sunday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a disturbance involving an individual barricaded in a residence on Ridout Street at about 12:30 am
A 34-year-old person was taken into custody without incident, Oxford OPP said in a media release. The person will appear via video for a bail hearing later Sunday.
Several specialized police units assisted, including West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine, West Region Tactics & Rescue Unit (TRU) and Crisis Negotiators.
Police had closed Ridout Street between Bidwell Street and Rolph Street during the incident. It has since reopened.
