According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Russia will use its energy weapons against Europe during the next winter.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi warned in a video speech on Saturday evening that Russia will increase pressure on Europe by stopping the flow of gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.
– Russia wants to weaken and intimidate all of Europe, every country. Russia wants to destroy the normal life of every European citizen, Zelenskyi said.
According to Zelensky, Russia is trying to cause poverty and political chaos in Europe when it cannot use rockets.
Zelenskyi estimates that Russia will further increase its pressure on energy deliveries during the next winter. He urges Europe to act unitedly against Russia.
– Europe needs unity, even more coordination and help from one country to another.
Russian gas giant Gazprom suspended gas supplies through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline on August 31 for an indefinite period.
