Popular monthly noon hour fashion shows return

Patricia M. Productions is bringing back its long-running monthly fashion shows after more than a two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fashions by The Loft will be featured during a show being held at Casa Bella on the Thames from noon to 1 pm on Wednesday. Proceeds will support Chatham Outreach for Hunger.

Patricia Robbins said she wanted to tie in nonprofit groups in the community with fashion stores when first developing the noon-hour fashion shows two decades ago.

“This idea came to me in 1999,” she said. “I tried it first at T-Bones Grill House and it was successful so we continued doing it.”

Robbins attributes the success of the event to the fact it’s a win-win concept.

“You go out for lunch, catch up with girlfriends while seeing the local fashions and help out a nonprofit group,” she said.

This is the first monthly fashion show by Patricia M. Productions since March 2020 and Robbins is excited to see then resume.

And so are those who regularly attend the event.

“We have many people who have been waiting and asking, ‘When are you going to start? When are you coming back?’” Robbins said.

“Our many guests that have followed us as well as the models and the fashion stores and me are all thrilled to get back again,” she added. “It’s always been a nice outing, a chance to see friends; there are lots of smiles and happy people, plus good fashions and great food.”

Robbins said monthly fashion shows have already been booked for the rest of the year, including at T-Bones Grill House in October, the Satellite Restaurant in November and the Links of Kent in December.

Tickets for Wednesday’s show can be purchased by calling Collins Clothiers (519-351-4181), The Loft (519-351-9508) or Casa Bella on the Thames (519-354-5270).
