Tower of Fantasy: The best builds

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

In the new anime MMORPG Tower of Fantasy you have equipped 3 weapons. We at MeinMMO explain to you how best to put your team together.

In Tower of Fantasy you draw different characters within the gacha system, the so-called simulacra. Each of them gives you a new weapon – 3 of them you can equip and switch between them in battle.

There are the elements Fire, Volt, Stone and Ice. In addition, each weapon has specific stats that you need to consider if you want to put together an ideal team.

Where do our builds come from? We got our information from videos from the Youtubers GuitarRock First and Exnal as well as from our own experiences with Tower of Fantasy.

This is how the principle works

Basically, your team should consist of these 3 roles:

  • One of the figures is responsible for breaking the opponent’s shield
  • A DPS deals out the damage
  • A support charges abilities, buffs and possibly heals
  • Each weapon has 2 stats that you need to look at to find out what it’s good for: smash and shatter/charge.

The number indicates how good the weapon is for smashing or loading.

A high shatter value means it’s excellent at breaking the shield that sometimes appears around your opponents and looks like a blue bubble. Values start at 3.2 and end at 13.

A high charge value means that using the weapon will charge the abilities of the other weapons in the team. You can tell by the fact that the border of the other weapons (bottom right of the screen) charges brightly and flashes at some point. Then you can use a special attack. The higher the load value, the faster the attack loads for the other weapons.

Weapon resonance effect for important buffs

You should also note that the weapons are classified within a Holy Trinity. So there is tank, DD and support. In team building, the so-called weapon resonance effect comes into play.

What does the effect bring? Depending on which weapon types you combine with each other, you will receive a buff:

  • Balance (Tank, DD, Support): Your damage and defense are reduced by 5%. Smash and Heal is 20% more effective.
  • Fortitude (2 Tanks): Increases your defense by 25%, smash by 60%, and increases enemy aggro by 800%, causing you to pull them towards you.
  • Attack (2 DDs): You do 10% more damage.
  • Blessing (2 supports): Your healing is increased by 100%.
  • If you’re teaming up with other players, the buffs are even stronger.

If you are traveling alone, you should rely on balance or attack, as the other builds alone do not offer you enough advantages.

Builds with Nemesis are among the strongest

A few lucky players were already able to draw the SSR character Nemesis at the event. With her on your team, you can play the currently strongest build in the global version of Tower of Fantasy. A tier list of the characters can be found here.

What makes Nemesis special? Nemesis brings the Volt Resonance to your team. As a result, your Volt attacks do 15% more damage and your Volt resistance is increased by 25%. The prerequisite for this is at least 2 volt simulacra in your team.

Volt resonance offers a decisive advantage.

    The build looks like this:

  • Nemesis (Support, Volts)
  • Crow (DD, Volt), alternatively you can take Samir
  • Meryl (tank, ice), alternatively you take King
  • With Meryl it’s a Balance build, with King it’s a DD build. Both are very strong, which is why it ultimately comes down to your personal preferences.

Opportunities if you don’t already own Nemesis

What alternatives are there? Many of you probably didn’t pull Nemesis, or you’re missing the other SSR figures from the currently strongest build. There are alternatives that are almost as strong, for example:

  • King (DD, Fire) + Crow (DD, Volt) + Zero/Tsubasa/Samir as an alternate DD build
  • Coco Knight (Support, Ice) + Huma (Tank, Fire) or Meryl + Samir (DD, Volt) as an alternate balance build
  • If you don’t have any SSR figures at the beginning, you can also rely on the SR character Echo to break the opponent’s shields. She wields a halberd with a smash rating of 12.6. You can also use Ene to smash at first, its value is 10, which is already very good.

What build are you currently playing? Are you going for Balance, DD, or something else entirely? Which SSR character do you like the most? Were you lucky enough to raise Nemesis or Frigg? Are you a tank, DD, or healer when you’re out with others? Write it to us in the comments here on MeinMMO!
