A police officer in Blekinge who was prosecuted after he fired a dangerous shot in the police station can keep his job even if he is convicted. This is what the authority’s personnel responsibility board writes to the district court, local media reports.
It was last year that the police fired the fatal shot when he was handling a submachine gun in an armory in the police station in Karlskrona. The shot went through a wall and was about to hit a craftsman.
The police were charged with causing danger to another and the trial was held on Monday. The verdict is expected to come on September 12.
