Twitter has just rolled out a long-awaited feature: the Circle feature! It allows you to create a circle of people who will be the only recipients of your messages. A way to have more intimate exchanges.
After several months of testing and very positive feedback, Twitter is in the process of making its new Circle function accessible to all users – Circle in English. It allows, as its name suggests, to create a circle with people you have chosen, and to make certain tweets visible only to them – a function similar to the Close Friends option, on Facebook and Instagram. This is a way to limit the reach of your messages to only certain users.
Twitter circle: choose who can see their tweets
The Circle feature comes in when you don’t want your tweets to be visible to everyone. Rather than having to switch your account to private mode by activating the Protect my Tweets option – and no longer being able to make public tweets at all – Cercle allows you to choose the privileged people who will be able to read your messages. This option is available when you compose your tweet, whether on a web browser or on Android and iOS applications. Recipients will see a small green badge indicating that the post is restricted to a circle of people. They will be able to reply and like the post, but not retweet it. You can have up to 150 contacts in your circle, but only have one at a time – but you can add or remove members at any time.

Circle is currently being rolled out, so you may need to wait a bit to benefit from it.
You can change the people in your circle at will, without the members getting a mention.
► Launch your browser or mobile app, and log in if you haven’t already.
► In the column on the left, click on More…/More…
► A drop-down menu appears. Click on Twitter Circle.
► A superimposed window opens. It has two tabs: the tab Twitter Circle allows you to view who is currently in your circle, while Recommended/Recommended allows you to add members. All you have to do is choose!
The Circle feature allows you to post a tweet that will only be visible to a few people.
► Launch your browser or mobile app, and log in if you haven’t already.
► On the homepage, write your tweet.
► Click on the small blue or green menu next to your profile picture.
► A small drop-down menu appears. Just click on Twitter Circlein green.
►You just have to press the blue button Tweet to post your message.
