It was the now convicted man who himself alerted the police one morning at the end of May and stated that his friend had cut himself, according to P4 Västerbotten. It involved, among other things, a punctured lung. In questioning the injured person, however, it emerged that the man had not stabbed himself, but that he had been attacked unprovoked by his friend.
“I thought I was going to die,” the victim later said in police interviews, according to the report SVT News Västerbotten.
The man who is sentenced against his refusal must also pay just over SEK 120,000 in damages. Apart from scarring, the victim is not expected to have any permanent injuries from the injury.
